NetComm Wireless Limited (ASX: NTC) has been named winner of the IoT innovator ACOMM Award, the company said.

This is the fifth consecutive year that NetComm Wireless has won the communications industry´s award for innovation. NetComm Wireless was awarded the IoT Innovator honour for its Smart Home Gateway (NTC-70).

Air Wisconsin names new senior VP

Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation has appointed Janet Huculak to the position of vice president of maintenance and procurement, the company said.

Huculak will be responsible for leading all maintenance and engineering functions associated with Air Wisconsin´s fleet of CRJ-200 aircraft, which the airline operates for American Airlines as an American Eagle regional carrier. Additionally, she will continue to lead all functions associated with Air Wisconsin´s Procurement department.

Since joining Air Wisconsin in 1997, Janet has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility including assistant controller, managing director of financial planning and analysis and most recently as vice president of strategic sourcing and procurement.

Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation operates approximately 450 departures per day system-wide to 26 states and three Canadian provinces in partnership with American Airlines.

YouMail Robocall Index finds 14 billion robocalls to US phone in 1st half 2016

YouMail National Robocall Index has found US phones received an estimated 2.37 billion robocalls in June 2016, a 4.7 percent decrease over the total for May, the company said.

The results for June brought the overall national total to 14.3 billion robocalls through the first six months of 2016, according to YouMail´s monthly report that tracks robocall volumes across the country. The national total of 2.37 billion robocalls in June equals 79 million robocalls made each day somewhere the country, or roughly 916 robocalls every second of the month.

YouMail, Inc., is a provider of cloud-based telecom services for consumers and small businesses.

Jones Airways transports country stars to Dallas police benefit

Jones Airways has offered his Falcon 900 aircraft to country music stars scheduled to perform at Billy Bob´s Texas club in Fort Worth to benefit the police, the company said.

The concert, “Stars Behind the Stars: a Benefit for the Blue” included artists Tanya Tucker, Randy Travis, Oak Ridge Boys and other celebrities who traveled from Nashville to Dallas to perform at the sold-out event.

Jones Airways was founded by Allan Jones, the Cleveland, TN, native who founded Check Into Cash. Advanced Aviation partnered with Jones Airways to support the concert.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Assist the Officer Foundation created by the Dallas Police Association, providing financial assistance to officers who are facing the loss of income due to a serious injury or life-threatening illness. Immediate financial assistance is provided to the family of any active duty officer who is killed in the line of duty.

The latest J.D. Power 2016 business wireline satisfaction study has ranked AT&T “highest in customer satisfaction with small/medium business wireline service, the company said.

AT&T said this is the second consecutive year it has received the recognition.

The J.D. Power 2016 business wireline satisfaction study looks at 6 categories, including customer service, performance and reliability, communication, cost of service, sales representative and account executives.

Imperial Capital, LLC has hired Michael Derchin, a longtime airline industry analyst, as a managing director and senior equity analyst, the company said.

The company said hiring Derchin reestablishes Imperial Capital´s airline equity research with specific industry coverage and extensive experience in the airline sector.

Prior to Imperial Capital, Derchin was a senior airline analyst at Sterne Agee CRT for six years. In addition, he served as an airline industry executive for American Airlines, Pan American World Airways and Mohawk Airlines.

Dreamstime enhances Website security with added encryption

Dreamstime has implemented a significant improvement to its website security by switching all site pages to HTTPS, including the dedicated mobile website and the Dreamstime applications for iOS and Android, the company said.

The company said the move to HTTPS adds an extra layer of security, as secondary non-HTTPS website pages can become conduits for hackers through what´s known as “man-in-the-middle” and eavesdropping attacks. HTTPS encrypts all of the information that is transmitted between a website and an individual´s browser.

Aerojet Rocketdyne supports launch of US national security payload

Aerojet Rocketdyne, Inc., a subsidiary of Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AJRD), has supported the launch of a national security payload for the US government, the company said.

The company said the mission was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. Aerojet Rocketdyne propulsion included two AJ-60A solid rocket boosters, the RL10C-1 upper-stage engine, six helium pressurization tanks and a dozen Centaur upper-stage reaction control thrusters (RCS).

Aerojet Rocketdyne provides propulsion and energetics to the space, missile defense and strategic systems in the aerospace industry.
