The two companies are planning to provide solutions and advice to organisations seeking to deploy business services on mobile platforms, enabling firms to implement best practice security for mobile application integration, in addition to satisfying regulatory compliance and governance policies.

According to Vordel and Cigital this partnership addresses the security deficit for mobile apps, where many organisations lack the basic security and integration skills necessary to successfully expose internal applications to mobile devices.

NEC and Telefonica launch APLICATECA cloud services in Argentina

No financial details were disclosed.

According to the company, Telefonica is now approaching its customers with a new option based on the SaaS business system (Software as a Service), designed to facilitate access to a variety of digital applications and services where the customer pays for the number of licenses that are used.

Initially, the operator aims to support small and medium sized businesses in Latin America by breaking down the current entry barriers to new technologies and IT applications.
