ExpressJet Airlines has announced that it is adding USD 5,000 to sign-on bonuses for pilots, increasing the bonus to USD 22,000, the company said.
The increase makes ExpressJet pilots some of the most highly compensated among regional airline pilots.
ExpressJet plans to hire more than 600 pilots in 2019 as it adds 25 new Embraer E175 aircraft to its fleet and exercises options to grow its existing fleet of Embraer ERJ145 aircraft. Pilots who sign on with ExpressJet can expect an immediate class date and to complete training and begin flying within approximately three months.
ExpressJet Airlines operates as United Express, on behalf of United Airlines (NASDAQ: UAL), to serve more than 100 airports across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The airline flies more than 3,300 weekly flights from bases in Chicago, Cleveland, Houston and Newark.
