JetBlue (Nasdaq:JBLU) has announced the launch of JetBlue for Good Month with a contest to provide funds for nonprofits to continue their work helping others within their local communities, the company said.
Through November 5, customers in the US and Puerto Rico nominated their favorite nonprofit organizations at for a chance to help that charity receive USD 25,000 from JetBlue*. Three charities will receive a USD 25,000 grant from JetBlue — each grant representing one of the three corporate social responsibility pillars the airline supports throughout the year: youth and education, the community, and the environment. Winners will be announced on World Kindness Day, Tuesday, November 13.
The JetBlue For Good Grant contest builds on the airline´s Destination Good trip that will fly a plane full of winning do-gooders to a mystery location for a four-day volunteer experience departing on Giving Tuesday, November 27.
