The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) awarded AT&T (NYSE: T) with a contract to offer managed security services statewide, the company said.
The services include security monitoring and device management, risk and compliance testing, and incident response.
The contract also helps agencies comply with the recently enacted Texas Cybersecurity Act. The legislation calls for added security assessments of Texas systems, additional cybersecurity training for state employees, and a review of state digital data storage.
