United names SVP of integrated customer service team

United Airlines has named Kate Gebo as senior vice president of the new integrated customer service delivery team, the company said.

The team was created to integrate all customer-facing functions in the company, and focus on improving the travel experience. Gebo will oversee all customer facing teams from booking to landing.

Gebo currently serves as vice president, office of the CEO, where she works to coordinate company strategy with the executive team. Gebo has more than 20 years of airline experience, working across several functions at United, including leading the corporate real estate function.

United Airlines and United Express operate more than 4,500 flights a day to 339 airports across five continents. In 2015, United and United Express operated more than 1.5 million flights carrying more than 140 million customers.
