Southwest Airlines pilots picket at Love Field

Southwest Airlines Pilots´ Association (SWAPA) has reported Southwest pilots have picketed at the Dallas Love Field Airport terminal to display their dissatisfaction over a lengthy labor relations battle, the association said.

One thousand pilots gathered to protest a protracted negotiation now approaching four-and-a-half years. SWAPA pilots were joined by Southwest flight attendants, mechanics and pilots from other airlines.

After more than two years in traditional bargaining, SWAPA and Southwest Airlines have been in federal mediation since November 2014.

Southwest Airlines Pilots´ Association (SWAPA) is a non-profit employee organization representing 8,300 pilots of Southwest Airlines.
