Duo Security expands into European data centres ahead of EU data regulations

Duo Security has expanded into data centers in Frankfort, Germany and Dublin, Ireland to serve customers in European companies mitigate risk in advance of the GeneralData Protection Regulation (GDPR) set to go into effect in 2018, the company said.

Duo Security said it is also adding French and German language support to its trusted access solution for the complete end-user experience, including Duo Mobile, authentication, and enrollment.

Company VP EMEA Henry Seddon said, “The recent regulatory changes around data protection highlight the security benefits of storing and processing customer data locally. The new public cloud data centres mean we can better respond to the needs of our customers, particularly in the government, financial and insurance industries where data visibility is necessary for compliance reasons.”

The new public cloud data centres are operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and are being utilized to serve Duo´s European customers.
