Product content management platform Salsify has been certified by 1WorldSync to send content for GS1´s Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) new Major Release 3 (MjR3), the company said.
This improved functionality, featuring the capability to syndicate 300 new product attributes through the network, expands the ability of brand manufacturers to provide the complete product content that consumers demand.
According to a comScore/UPS study, consumers cite detailed product content as the number one reason they click “Buy”. Additionally, one-third of consumers have purchased from a brand other than the one they intended because of product content. The new GDSN Major Release reflects retailers´ and brands´ desire to deliver a great consumer experience across the distributed commerce network.
GDSN´s Major Release 3 is currently in testing with major trading partners, and will be fully rolled out in May 2016. Salsify customers can begin testing Major Release 3 with their own content immediately.
This upgraded functionality is available free of charge to Salsify customers currently using the GDSN channel.
