Air traffic controllers extend collective agreement

Nav Canada said it has announced the ratification of a one year extension to the collective agreement covering approximately 1900 air traffic controllers following negotiations with the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (CATCA) Unifor Local 5454.

Members of CATCA voted in favour of extending the collective agreement to March 31, 2017.

The extension continues the current agreement while adding a 2.5 per cent salary increase for the additional year.

With operations from coast to coast to coast, Nav Canada provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
