Envivio powers China's first cloud video service

Envivio (NASDAQ: ENVI) said that it has deployed the first cloud video transcoding service in China for Beijing Gehua CATV Network Co., Ltd. (BGCTV), marking the first multi-screen video service offered by a Chinese cable network operator using a cloud solution.

Envivio´s software-based video solutions bring the video quality and reliability operators need to monetise multi-screen services, with flexibility, ease-of-use, and time-to-market.

For this deployment, BGCTV is using Envivio Muse encoding software. Muse encoders are powering BGCTV´s multi-screen service that offers BGCTV´s 150 SD channels and 50 HD video channels to connected TVs, PCs, smartphones, ipads, etc.
