Gulf Air chooses Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad

29 August 2014

Jeppesen, a part of Boeing Commercial Aviation, said it recently signed a new three-year service contract with Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain´s national carrier, to provide the airline with Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro electronic flight bag services on iPad.

The agreement allows Gulf Air to continue its digital transformation by eliminating paper-based flight information on the ground and in the air.

The new service agreement continues a long-standing customer relationship, which includes tailored Jeppesen digital navigation information for the airline. Jeppesen´s mobile EFB solutions help airlines operate more efficiently through real time, data-driven information presented on screen that is displayed per pilot preference. The reduction of paper-based flight information also reduces weight in the cockpit and leads to significant annual fuel savings.

For 80 years, Jeppesen has made it possible for pilots and their passengers to safely and efficiently reach their destinations. Today, this pioneering spirit continues as Jeppesen delivers transformative information and optimization solutions to improve the efficiency of air and sea operations around the globe. Jeppesen is a Boeing (NYSE: BA) subsidiary and part of the digital aviation business unit within Boeing Commercial Aviation Services.
