United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) unit UTC Aerospace Systems said it has installed a Cloud Cap Technology TASE 400HD airborne imaging system on a new Airbus Helicopters Inc. AS350b3e helicopter, operated by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Highway Air Operations.
The installation will provide the Mississippi Highway Patrol Air Operations with high-performance day and night thermal imagery to support its multi-mission capability in patrol, hurricane support and drug enforcement.
The thermal imager in the TASE 400HD can see in total darkness and through nearly all weather conditions. The daylight camera provides superior high-definition imagery for enhanced situational awareness, and public and officer safety.
