Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE: IDN) said it was awarded a USD195K contract from the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri to upgrade the current Defense ID system and provide additional IM2610 handheld identification card readers.
The readers will provide identification card authentication for visitors who utilize vehicle lanes at the facility entrance as well as allow National Crime Information Center (NCIC) queries if desired. Work on the project was recently completed.
In 2010, the company won a contract from the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood to provide the facility with Defense ID access control equipment. The current contract adds to the number of handheld readers at the Fort as well as upgrades the current system.
