Moog increases Q3 sales, EPS

Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A) (NYSE: MOG.B) said it has announced third quarter earnings of USD48m, or USD1.08 a share, an increase of 44 percent over last year´s USD.75 per share.

Sales in the quarter of USD684m were up 2 percent from last year´s USD671m.

Aircraft sales in the quarter of USD294m were up eight percent from a year ago. Commercial aircraft sales of USD147m were up USD30m, or 25 percent. Sales of OEM products to Boeing were 39 percent higher, at USD70m, while Airbus sales were up 21 percent. Commercial aftermarket revenue, at USD34m, was 20 percent higher in the quarter due to strong initial provisioning of 787 spares.
