GCS, Lockheed Martin to provide development services to GSA

GCS, Inc., in its role as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), said it has been selected by the General Services Administration to provide operation, maintenance, enhancement and development services in support of its application infrastructure.

Under the CIO applications, maintenance, enhancements, and operations (CAMEO) contract, Lockheed Martin and its teammates will provide technical architecture development, security services, software development support and other services. The USD400m CAMEO contract has been awarded as a task order under the GSA Alliant contract and is available for all of GSA.

The primary objective of the task order is to transform the specialized applications required by GSA´s Federal Acquisition Service to fulfill its mission as the federal government´s buyer. The Lockheed-GCS team will modernize these applications, systems and environments, which support the FAS business portfolios, while maintaining stability on critical systems.
