Louvre Hotels Group Selects the Micros Opera 9 Reservation System for its Tulip Branded Hotels

Micros Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS) said that the Louvre Hotels Group has replaced its legacy reservation system in more than 220 of its Tulip branded hotels with the Micros Opera 9 Reservation System.

This brings all 1,100 Louvre Hotels Group properties into the global multi-property, SaaS-based Opera Enterprise Solution for distribution. In addition, over 800 of these properties in 43 countries are already using the integrated property management functions of the Opera Enterprise Solution.

The Micros Opera 9 platform centralizes bookings through all electronic distribution channels, including web booking, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), channel management, and voice service centers. Micros created a totally customized user interface for Tulip reservation and revenue management associates, making the transition to the new reservation system effortless. With the addition of the Tulip branded hotels, the Louvre Hotel Group´s expanded Micros ORS now supports over 3,000 users from all over the world.

Following their respective purchase by Starwood Capital in 2005 and 2009, the alliance between Louvre Hotels and Golden Tulip became Louvre Hotels Group in April 2011, making it a leader in the global hospitality market with more than 1,100 hotels in 47 countries ranging from 1 to 5 stars.
