The Defense Security Service said it has recognized seven Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) sites with its 2014 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Awards.
This marks the first time one company has ever received seven of the awards.
More than 13,000 defense contractors were nominated for Cogswell Awards but only 40 companies were selected. Nomination criteria include the establishment and maintenance of a security program that goes well beyond minimum National Industrial Security Program requirements and demonstration of leadership to other cleared facilities in setting high security standards.
Lockheed Martin facilities picking up awards were: Corporate Orlando, Florida; Information Systems and Global Solutions (ISandGS) Papillion, Nebraska; Information Systems and Global Solutions (ISandGS) Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; Information Systems and Global Solutions (ISandGS) Suffolk, Virginia; Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Ocala, Florida; Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Santa Barbara, California; Mission Systems and Training (MST) Fort Worth, Texas.
