Luxoft supports connectivity for automotive infotainment systems

Luxoft Holding, Inc (NYSE: LXFT) said it has announced the support for the Apple (NASDAQ: APPL) CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity standards by Luxoft´s TEORA automotive human machine interface development tool chain.

These connectivity standards link smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices to car infotainment systems and join TEORA in addition to the existing support of the GENIVI SmartDeviceLink (SDL) implementations.

“It is clear that multiple connectivity standards will coexist in a car in order to accommodate the users´ needs,” said Serkan Arslan, Luxoft´s global director of automotive business development. “Whether a person prefers an Apple device or an Android, it will be about the seamless user experience. At Luxoft, we create advanced digital cockpits that bring together instrument cluster, head unit and mobile devices, and work with different connectivity standards. Our goal is to design the HMI systems that will integrate multiple screens in a safe and efficient way. To make the implementation of such systems easier and more cost-efficient, we developed TEORA, a set of tools for creating an in-vehicle user experience.”
