Total Wine and More chooses MicroStrategy to power loyalty app

MicroStrategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR) said that Total Wine and More has selected the MicroStrategy Alert Platform to power its new, customer-facing mobile app.

With its new app, Total Wine and More intends to boost customer loyalty and engagement by bringing the Total Wine and More in-store experience directly to mobile consumers. Potomac, Maryland-based Total Wine and More will be able to deliver informational material and educational opportunities, including invitations to tastings and special events, guides for wine and beer selection, and a wide range of interactive content and conveniences, including gift cards, to the mobile channel.

Total Wine and More will be able to deliver personalized promotions and brand messages directly through its mobile app. Total Wine and More marketers can further enhance their campaigning efforts by using Alert´s geo-fencing and notifications features to deliver location-triggered, pop-up promotions to help drive more foot traffic across Total Wine´s 16-state, 100-plus store presence.
