DHS picks Exelis for information technology services under EAGLE II contract

A team led by Exelis (NYSE: XLS) said it has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as one of several prime contractors to provide critical information technology services to support the execution of its mission.

Under the enterprise acquisition gateway for leading edge solutions (EAGLE II) contract, the Exelis team will compete with other prime contract awardees for task orders on the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts in Functional Category (FC) 1, service delivery on the unrestricted track. Services under FC include system design, development, implementation, and integration; software design and development; as well as operations and maintenance.

The Exelis team includes more than 50 small business and three large companies.
