Harris gets first order from Naval Special Warfare for radio

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has received an initial order from the US Navy for its next-generation Falcon III Multi-channel Manpack tactical radio. It is marketed as the first tactical radio that can expand capabilities as the needs of the battlefield change.

Harris said it will deliver the radios this fall. The radio is designed to operate over the new mobile user objective system military communications satellite without any hardware changes.
