Franklin Wireless Corp. (OTC: FKWL) said its net sales were USD10.1m for the first quarter of 2014, compared with USD6.5m in net sales for the corresponding period of 2013.
Total operating expenses were USD1.8m in the third quarter of fiscal 2014, which is essentially unchanged from the third quarter of fiscal 2013. In addition, the company reported a net loss of approximately USD131,000, or USD0.01 per basic and diluted share, compared with a net loss of approximately USD54,000, or USD0.01 per basic and diluted share, for the same quarter last year.
The increase in net sales for the three months ended March 31, 2014 was due to several factors including higher sales in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) resulting from the addition of a new carrier customer in Africa as well as higher sales in the Asia region.
