Passengers at Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport can experience a new Pepsi Interactive Vending Machine at Terminal D now through May 26.
The machine is one of less than two dozen in the world, and the only one in all of North America.
The interactive vending machine allows customers to show off their soccer skills utilizing Microsoft Kinect technology. Users can create an avatar with their name and begin earning points immediately. Throughout the interactive experience, fans are encouraged to keep the virtual football in the air for 30-seconds as they move through a series of skills challenges. Advanced players can earn bonus time and compete for “Hall of Fame” recognition at each location.
Points are earned based on the users´ soccer skills, and customers can earn a free Pepsi product by accruing 9,000 points on the machine.
Celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2014, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is the world´s fourth busiest, hosting 1,850 flights a day and serving 60m customers a year. Its website is at www.dfwairport.com.
