MSCI completes February accelerated share buyback agreement

MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI) said that it received 0.6 million shares of its common stock on May 5, 2014 in connection with the settlement of the USD100.0m accelerated share repurchase agreement it entered into on February 6, 2014.

MSCI repurchased a total of 2.3 million shares as part of the February 2014 ASR. The settlement of the February 2014 ASR marked the completion of the USD300.0m share repurchase authorization approved by the company´s board of directors in December 2012. As part of that authorization, MSCI repurchased a total of 7.7 million shares of its common stock.

On February 4, 2014, the board of directors authorized management to repurchase shares of the company´s common stock with an aggregate value of up to USD300.0m. This authorization will be available for use from time to time at management´s discretion. No shares have been repurchased under this authorization to date.
