WestJet shareholders favour all business items at general meeting

WestJet Airlines Ltd. (TSX: WJA) (TSX: WJA.A) reported the voting results from its annual general meeting held Tuesday May 6, 2014 in TSX, Ontario showed a total number of shares represented by shareholders present in person and by proxy at the meeting to be 63,297,188 representing 49.6 per cent of WestJet´s issued and outstanding common voting shares and variable voting shares.

The vote attached to each variable voting share was automatically decreased to equal the maximum vote permitted per variable voting share under WestJet´s amended and restated articles of incorporation, which, in these circumstances was 0.60 of a vote per variable voting share.

Shareholders voted in favour of all items of business, including election of each of the twelve director nominees as follows:
