Angel MedFlight medical flights up 23% in April

Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance reported the number of medical flights in April increased 23 percent, over last year´s April.

The longest flight was 3,030 miles, from Louisiana to Lima, Peru, with more than 100,000 total miles flown during the month.

A majority of patients transported sustained their injuries from accidents or falls, making post-trauma recovery the biggest reason for necessitating medical transport in the past month. The ages of patients transported ranged from a one-year-old infant to a 98-year-old adult.
