Moog Q2 earnings up 3%

Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A) (NYSE: MOG.B) said it has announced second quarter net earnings of USD38m and earnings per share of USD.82, a three percent increase over last year.

Total sales of USD650m were up one percent from a year ago.

Total aircraft controls sales in the quarter were USD275m, up six percent. The company´s commercial OEM sales were USD99m, 17 percent higher, including USD58m in sales to Boeing and USD17m in Airbus sales. Commercial aftermarket sales of USD35m were up 19 percent on initial provisioning spares for the 787 program.
