Officials of New Castle Hotels and Resorts said they have named Gerard Kiladjian general manager of Maine´s historic 166-room resort, The Cliff House Resort and Spa, which has entered its 142nd season.
Earlier this month, New Castle assumed management under an agreement with Rockbridge which recently acquired the landmark.
Maine´s first oceanfront spa, The Cliff House Spa, features ten treatment rooms offering services using indigenous Maine ingredients, such as blueberries, juniper and wild roses, as well as a 2,500 square foot fitness centre, 75-foot indoor lap pool, whirlpool, steam and sauna. The resort also features an oceanfront, vanishing edge swimming pool and labyrinth based on the labyrinth at the 13th century cathedral at Chartres.
The Cliff House is operated by Shelton, Connecticut-based New Castle Hotels and Resorts. Its portfolio of hotels spans 10 states and three Canadian provinces and includes several of Canada´s historic landmark resorts. Its website is at www.newcastlehotels.com.
