Raytheon gets USD200m contract for guided bombs

Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) said it received a contract from an international customer for Paveway IV precision guided bombs valued at more than USD200m.

As part of the sale, Raytheon will deliver hundreds of the advanced munitions. The contract represents the first sale of Paveway IV outside the U.K.

The Paveway family of laser-guided and GPS and laser-guided bombs has revolutionized tactical air-to-ground warfare by converting “dumb” bombs into precision-guided munitions.

Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company. It is a prime contractor and major supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence and has developed strong capabilities in mission systems integration in defence, national security and commercial markets.
