Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MICT) said it has announced over USD400,000 in orders for its A307 mobile computing device from new MRM customers.
These new orders were received from two new customers, one in Chile and one in Mexico, who are specialist MRM solution providers in the trucking and long-haul market segments. Both of these customers will deploy Micronet´s A307 fix-mount/portable, Android-based rugged, automotive-grade tablets for in-cab and out-of-cab applications.
The A307 device features a seven-inch touch-screen display and is offered in two product configurations — one is designed to interface with third-party telematics units, while the other is an “all-in-one” device with built-in cellular, GPS, and vehicle CAN-bus interfaces.
Delivery of orders is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2014, and follow-on orders are expected to continue periodically.
MICT operates through two companies, Enertec Systems 2001 Ltd, its wholly-owned subsidiary, and Micronet Ltd, in which it has a controlling interest.
