ANA Holdings chooses PurePower Engines for new Airbus aircraft

ANA Holdings said it has selected Pratt and Whitney´s PurePower PW1100G-JM engines for 30 A320neo family aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2016. Pratt and Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

“We are pleased to select the Geared Turbofan to power our new A320neo family of aircraft and to again partner with Pratt and Whitney,” said Hiroyuki Ito, senior executive vice president, ANA. “The PW1100G-JM engine is dependable, evolutionary new technology for which ANA has high expectations of improved economic efficiency for our network growth strategy.”
