Scottish Fire and Rescue Service deploys CommVault management solution

CommVault (NASDAQ: CVLT) said that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has deployed CommVault Simpana 10 software to standardise its data management infrastructure across more than 400 locations.

This decision followed a mandate from the Scottish government to reduce costs and duplication of existing services, and following a thorough assessment of its existing environment, SFRS decided to replace eight disparate backup solutions with CommVault´s single data management platform.

CommVault Systems provides data and information management software applications and related services primarily in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. The company develops, markets, and sells a suite of software applications and services under the Simpana brand. It was incorporated in 1996 and is headquartered in Oceanport, New Jersey. Its website is at http://www.commvault.com.
