SAS launches advance seat reservation on short haul flights

27 March 2014

SAS said it now offers all its customers with SAS Go tickets to European destinations the opportunity to choose their seat when they book their flight.

This option has previously only been available on long haul routes, but is now being introduced on flights between Scandinavia and European destinations. Now, travelers booking a SAS Go ticket can pay a fee to reserve a seat at the same time.

“At SAS we continue to update and further develop our products and services to give our customers greater freedom of choice and simpler travel. We have offered pre-booked seats on our long haul flights for some time, and are delighted to now be able to offer this to our Go passengers on routes to and from Europe. Many people have preferences when it comes to where they wish to sit, and they now have an even better chance of getting the seat they prefer,” said Snorre Andresen, vice president Product Management and Development at SAS.

SAS is Scandinavia´s leading airline with daily flights to destinations in Europe, USA and Asia. SAS is a member of Star Alliance (http://www.staralliance.com/en/) and, together with 27 partners, offers over 1300 destinations worldwide in 195 countries. For more information, visit www.flysas.com
