Newport News Shipbuilding gets economic impact award

Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) said that its Newport News Shipbuilding division received the Economics Club of Hampton Roads´ Economic Impact Award.

The annual award recognizes the shipyard´s annual economic impact of more than USD5.5bn.

The Economics Club of Hampton Roads is an organization for business and government executives and community leaders who share an interest in the practical implications of economic principles, trends and events.
