Optical Cable Corp. (NASDAQ: OCC) reported it achieved consolidated net sales of USD16.5m during the first quarter of fiscal year 2014, compared to net sales of USD17.3m for the first quarter of fiscal year 2013.
OCC´s sales in its commercial markets increased during the first quarter of fiscal year 2014, compared to the same period last year, but this increase was offset by decreases in the company´s specialty markets.
Net sales to customers in the United States increased 5.7 percent in the first quarter of fiscal year 2014, compared to the same period last year, and net sales to customers outside of the United States decreased 24.2 percent.
