San Diego Christian College announced a new agreement with American Eagle Airlines that will allow its aviation students a direct pathway to a career in commercial aviation.
A recent agreement with American Eagle will give graduates of SDC´s Aviation program more opportunities to launch their airline careers by creating a “pipeline” from collegiate aviation, through flight instruction to a guaranteed job with the regional airline. After two years with AEA, pipeline pilots get a guaranteed interview with parent company, American Airlines, a part of the American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL).
Captain Denny Breslin, a former American Airlines pilot, announced the new agreement where American Eagle will hire SDC´s qualified graduates who meet requirements ranging from grade-point average in aviation courses to accumulated flight time for its Pilot Pipeline Program.
“The program helps ensure we have the airline-qualified pilots we need for the future and eases the transition from school to the airline for program participants,” said Nicholas Brice, who negotiated the deal for Eagle´s pilot recruitment.
San Diego Christian College, founded in 1970, is a Christian liberal arts institution committed to investing in the whole student, preparing them to impact the world. For more information, visit www.sdcc.edu.
