ATK products support GPS satellite launch

ATK (NYSE: ATK) propulsion, composite and spacecraft technologies helped support last week´s launch of a United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket from Space Launch Complex 37B at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

This rocket carried the US Air Force´s fifth Block IIF navigation satellite for the Global Positioning System (GPS).

The Delta IV medium-plus rocket that was used on this flight was in the 4, 2 configuration, which features two ATK 60-inch diameter Graphite Epoxy Motors (GEM-60). Many other ATK components and structures also supported the Delta IV rocket.
