United Airlines plans New York- Santiago, Dominican Republic service

United Continental Holdings, Inc.´s (NYSE: UAL) company United Airlines said it plans to operate flights between its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Santiago in the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2014, subject to government approval.

The new service will be timed to provide roundtrip connectivity with Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

United Airlines and United Express operate an average of more than 5,300 flights a day to more than 360 airports across six continents. United is a founding member of Star Alliance, which provides service to 195 countries via 28 member airlines. For more information, visit united.com.
