FireEye modernizes intrusion prevention systems

FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE) said it has released its FireEye MVX-IPS, a new approach to intrusion prevention systems that modernizes the IPS security layer by incorporating FireEye MVX technology and FireEye Dynamic Threat Intelligence.

FireEye MVX-IPS is designed to provide a more comprehensive view of multi-vector attacks to boost threat protection against known and unknown attacks. FireEye MVX-IPS is now available in Beta and will be generally available as an add-on license for the FireEye Network Threat Prevention Platform (NX series) during the first half of 2014.

FireEye has invented a purpose-built, virtual machine-based security platform that provides real-time threat protection to enterprises and governments worldwide against the next generation of cyber attacks.
