American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) companies American Airlines and US Airways said they are expanding their codeshare to provide customers access to nearly 6,500 daily flights to more than 275 destinations in the combined global network.
These additional codeshare flights are now available for booking, for travel starting Feb. 6.
American and US Airways launched the initial phase of their codeshare Jan. 13. This phase extends the codeshare to all flights across the combined global network, except for a select few international markets due to regulatory requirements. The two airlines expect to codeshare on every international flight in these markets by the end of the first quarter.
American Airlines Group is the holding company for American Airlines and US Airways. Together with American Eagle and US Airways Express, the airlines operate an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to 339 destinations in 54 countries from its hubs in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, D.C.
