Black Box Corp. (NASDAQ: BBOX) said its third quarter 2014 revenues were USD733.4m, down four percent from USD760.1m for the same period last year.
Provision for income taxes was USD12.7m (39.9% effective rate), down four percent from USD13.2m (38.0 percent effective rate) for the same period last year. The company said the increase in the effective tax rate was due to the write-off of certain deferred tax assets related to equity awards partially offset by a decrease in uncertain tax positions (including interest and penalties) and the benefit associated with the Fiscal 2013 federal return to provision reconciliation.
Net income was USD19.1m, down 11 percent from USD21.6m for the same period last year.
