American Airlines picks Sabre reservation system

American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ: AAL) said it has reached an agreement with Sabre for the newly combined airline´s single reservation system.

“The migration to one reservation platform in partnership with Sabre is a critical milestone in the merger integration process, and lays the groundwork for customers and employees alike to have a seamless experience throughout the travel journey,” said Maya Leibman, chief information officer American Airlines.

American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) is the holding company for American Airlines and US Airways. Together with American Eagle and US Airways Express, the airlines operate an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to 339 destinations in 54 countries from its hubs in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, D.C.
