Aerojet Rocketdyne names new vice president of defense advanced programs

Aerojet Rocketdyne, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, said that Tyler Evans will join the company as vice president of its Rocket Shop Defense Advanced Programs unit.

In this role, Evans primarily will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership, and driving the process improvements needed to execute a diverse portfolio of defense-related new product developments. He will continue to maintain the momentum needed to deliver innovative, affordable and enabling solutions to Aerojet Rocketdyne customers.

Evans holds a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering from Virginia Tech and a master of science in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.
