Bowhead division reaches CMMI level 3

Bowhead Systems Management LLC said that its Agile Division has earned the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute´s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration — (CMMI) for Services (CMMI-SVC, v1.3) — Maturity Level 3.

The CMMI is one of the highest quality standards for companies worldwide. BSM is one of only 35 companies in the United States that has achieved this maturity level in Services. It is also the first Alaska Native Corp. to accomplish this level of quality achievement in this category.

The Bowhead family of companies provides defense, government and private sector customers with expertise in areas such as program management, systems engineering/integration, weapon systems acquisition management, logistics/supply support, software development, IT services support, risk management, training/simulation support, products procurement, and administrative services support. The Bowhead family of companies are subsidiaries of UIC Technical Services based in Alexandria, VA. UICTS is an Alaska Native Corp. and a subsidiary of the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corp. of Barrow, Alaska.
