Research and Markets said it has announced the addition of the “Travel and Tourism in Slovakia to 2017″ report to its offering.
During the review period (2008-2012), tourist volumes in Slovakia increased, driven primarily by government initiatives to promote tourism. The country´s inbound tourist volumes increased by 4.8% in 2012 and are expected to record growth over the forecast period (2013-2017) at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.20%. The level of inbound tourism is expected to reach 1.7 million visits in 2017. However, government expenditure on tourism is relatively low, and accounted for only 2.3% of the nation´s total GDP in 2012, valuing USD2.2bn.
