Alabama enables UCC filers to upload attachments at no additional cost

The Alabama secretary of State´s Office said that citizens can now upload attachments when completing the “Collateral Information” section of the online UCC filing application.

There is no additional fee associated with uploading attachments online, whereas there is a USD2 fee per page for any filing over two pages in length with paper filings.

Rebecca Morris, the director of business services, said the new feature will streamline the filing process adding cost savings to both the state and citizens.

The Business Services Division administers all business-related responsibilities for the secretary of state including filing of commercial liens, registering of new businesses, and issuance of trademarks.
