Breckenridge Peak 6 to open on Christmas Day

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) and Breckenridge Ski Resort said the brand new Peak 6 expanded terrain, and lifts will open for the first time ever to the public at noon on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2013.

The opening of Peak 6 represents one of the biggest and most notable ski area terrain expansions in North America in the past decade, and will be the first at Breck since the Peak 7 expansion in 2002.

The inaugural season of the Peak 6 expansion will be an important landmark year in Breck´s history, and guests who visit Breck on Dec. 25 will be able to ride the resort´s two brand new chairlifts, the Zendo chair and Kensho Superchair, which will both start operations for the first time that day at approximately 12: 00 p.m. MST.
