US Department of Transportation follows up on complaint against Delta

In response to the op-ed piece from earlier this month critisising US carrier Delta Airlines (NYSE: DAL) an analyst for the US Department of Transportation said that the department is looking into the matter.

The op-ed criticized Delta for a new pricing system.

DOT´s analysts said that, based on the information provided, the complaint appears to fall under the department´s rules and that the complaint will be forwarded to the airline for a response.

Airlines are required to acknowledge receipt of a consumer complaint within 30 days and provide a substantive response to the complainant within 60 days.
