Delta Air Lines Foundation makes South Dakota donations

Atlanta US-based carrier Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) said that The Delta Air Lines Foundation has donated USD 50,000 to support the efforts of charitable and nonprofit organisations that offer educational and wellness programs and provide assistance to those in need in South Dakota.

The foundation´s giving benefits organisations in cities Delta serves including Aberdeen, Rapid City and Sioux Falls.

Recipient organisations include local chapters of The American Red Cross; the YMCA and EmBe; Junior Achievement; the United Way; Feeding South Dakota and Farm Rescue.

The Delta Air Lines Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1968 to enhance Delta´s charitable giving.

Delta Air Lines serves more than 160m customers each year. Delta and the Delta Connection carriers offer service to 314 destinations in 58 countries on six continents. Headquartered in Atlanta, Delta employs nearly 80,000 employees worldwide and operates a mainline fleet of more than 700 aircraft.
